/  ACADEMICS

01

Gatekeepers students benefit from the extraordinary resources of a world-class ministerial institution dedicated to training and teaching. Our faculty have an unparalleled reputation for balancing excellence in their fields with a dedication to their students, through both classroom instruction and ministry experience courses.  Students learn and grow in practical ways by actually ministering with instructors during impact week during our semi-annual conferences.

GKIU publishes a broad range of audio and video content that is available online to the University community and to the public. From online courses to three-minute summaries of ministry outcome findings, these educational and informational multimedia materials span academic disciplines and real life.  Available upon registration, please email us for more info Call 304-44-WORLD or 757-913-0775.

Correspondence &  non-credit Online Course Offerings

GKIU faculty offers free, noncredit courses in a variety of subjects for lifelong learning through online platforms such as YouTube. These courses have allowed students to learn interactively in a wide range of apostolic ministry disciplines with people from around the world while giving faculty members ways to experiment with and improve classroom education.

It is GKIU's goal that all students explore the opportunities for international ministry experience available to them. The Ministry Experience Program (MEP) provides opportunities for students to minister and earn credit internationally. The Ministers International Internship Program (MIPS) supports Gatekeeper Ministry Program students who wish to undertake their required internship abroad.

A wide range of international study and ministry opportunities are available to both credit and non diploma seeking students, including the chance to conduct independent ministry abroad.

Alumni Bridge Program

The University also supports alumni students interested in evangelizing by setting up local churches and ministries abroad.  Through the Bridge Program, a select group of alumni is sponsored to receive financial support and resources during their first start up year in public service abroad.
